I am only looking for UK-supplied Suzuki Swift automatics. I will NOT buy any Japanese import Swift, even if it has a UK registration plate. Many Suzuki Swifts available in the UK were imported from Japan in 2025 and 2026. These do not have UK service history and may have headlights set up for left-hand traffic. If your Swift was imported from Japan, please do not contact me.

What I Want

  • Suzuki Swift 1.2 with CVT automatic gearbox
  • Year: 2013–2021
  • Mileage: under 90,000 miles
  • Budget: up to £5,000
  • UK supplied from new — not a Japanese import
  • Full or substantial service history
  • Valid MOT with at least 3 months remaining
  • V5C present and matching the car
  • Two keys
  • No Cat N or Cat S
  • Consistent mileage throughout MOT history
  • No warning lights
  • All tyres legal

What I Will Not Buy

  • Japanese imports — even with UK plates. I will check the V5C and MOT history. A car with only one or two UK MOTs on a 2013 plate is almost certainly an import
  • Any Swift with a mileage discrepancy
  • Cat N or Cat S
  • Cars with recurring tyre failures — repeated dangerous tyre MOT failures show the previous owner drove on illegal tyres
  • Cars with outstanding finance
  • Cars with only one key
  • Cars over 90,000 miles
  • Cars older than 2013

How to tell if your Swift is a UK car

Check your V5C logbook. It should show the car was first registered in the UK from new. If the car was imported, the V5C will show an import date different from the original registration date, or the MOT history will show only one or two tests despite being several years old. The MOT history for a genuine UK Swift should show annual tests going back to when the car was three years old.
